On November 11, 2017 your very own Agua Fria Cheerleaders journeyed to the AIA State Qualifiers at Verrado High School. Through hard work and determination, the show cheer team placed in the top 40% of their division and qualified for the State Championships in January. While our All Girl Stunt team did not qualify, they did manage to put out a deduction-free routine after putting together and finishing up their routine within the week. We are incredibly proud of both teams; below is a recap of their performances.
Show Cheer: Starting off early in the day was our Show Cheer team, comprised of 14 cheerleaders with one common goal: to qualify for state. Due to some unfortunate technological issues, the team had to perform the cheer portion of their routine two times back to back before moving into the music section. This resulted in a few bobbles, but the girls were quick to recover and put out a dazzling routine regardless. During awards the girls knew it would be close, but in the end they prevailing, snagging one of the ten places that moved on.

All Girl Stunt: Comprised of 5 cheerleaders, this fierce group put out a routine that any coach would be proud of, hitting zero and throwing some impressive skills. Though it was not enough to get them a bid to state, the girls left the mat feeling confident and proud of their performance.

We are so proud of our amazing ladies and are thankful for all the time and effort they put into this routine. We hope to see you at Estrella Foothills next Saturday for Nationals Qualifiers!
